PC or Mac (or Linux?)

I can't speak for the differences of software or ability to things on one platform or another. I can say that we have an eMac, a PowerBook G4, and a dual 1.8 G5. I have been virus and problem free since May of 2002. I had problems with all PCs I have owned. Some were user mistakes, some hardware. All in all, it was stressful keeping up with all of the viruses and security holes in Windows and Internet Explorer.

I have found the folks at my local Apple Store (Albany, NY) to be light years ahead of the slackers that work at CompUSA, BestBuy, and Circuit City.

I have gone Mac and will no go back!

This thread needs to be renamed "Windows, Mac, or Linux", btw.

Lots of PC's don't run Microsoft. I don't think it's fair to have "PC" mean windows machine, especially to the "PC" manufacturers, whos products work well in windows machines, linux, macs, freebsd, os2warp, or whatever else.

and, I bet I can find more than a handful of people who will tell you their Intel/AMD based Linux machine is more stable and reliable than a Mac box...

This is true that a lot of PC's do not run Windows. But generally when people refer to PC's they are referring to Windows boxes.

But for this thread I think we should distinguish PC's as Windows or Linux etc. Just to eliminate confusion.
