My wife and I are thinking about taking a vacation in late April or May, and two places we've always wanted to check out are British Columbia and New Mexico (Santa Fe/Taos mainly). I don't think we'll put this off until the fall even though it might be best at both places.
Having never been near either place before, we're wondering if there's a bad time to visit either of these places. I say this because the events calendar for most of New Mexico has almost nothing going on in the spring, but a lot in the other seasons (mainly fall). And I think I remember hearing about a rainy season in BC. It won't be a photo-specific trip so I'm not specifically worried about that (but will be shooting a lot too of course).
I'm leaning towards BC at the moment and "just happen to find" a sea kayaking outfitter but don't tell her.
