    Manhattan Bridge. . .B&W night

This is a somewhat less typical shot of a bridge. One of many night shots I have been doing the last few days. About 2:00am under the Manhattan Bridge . Brooklyn Bridge in the background. What do you think of this composition? Black point adj, and levels, and conversion to b&w.
    Thanks

Anther beautiful shot Gary! To me there is a special place and time to make things black and white, and this shot is perfect for it. I love the composition as well.

Wow. This is excellent. I really like the detail you've held up in the darker areas and the liquid light spilling across the river. You are going to have a terrific bridge series by the time you are done.
Are you going to do all the manhattan bridges? Better get the tunnels too.

Thanks for the time to look , and comment.
Chunk, since I am at it I think I will attempt to have a night shot of all the N.Y bridges. btw, I also did a reshoot of the Verrazano bridge and came out far better than the last I posted. I had to do very little work in psp. I will be posting that one soon to see how it goes over.
    Littledunno,
I was shooting in jeans and tee shirt as the weather was fairly warm
this was shot with Kodak Royal Supra 200 color negative film. I only develop the negatives and then scan them onto the puter to work with. I have a feeling b&w film is going to be the first to extinction. From what Ive read, ( great book by Rohn Engh, a veteran editorial and stock photographer) more of a market for color prints and images than b&w, especially in stock photography. Always better to have a version of a shot in color as well as b&w. doubles the marketing potential. So lots of pros who still shoot film and scan, shoot in color.
Micheal , Natalie thanks for the time.
JJ, looking forward to your bridge shot posts

    Solid!

Gary this one is truly amazing! The solidness of the black and perfectness of the water, this is great. The composition is great, love the angle inwhich the bridge was shot.
Best one so far with the bridges!
