Inside out

This was taken at the Milwaukee Art Museum. I exposed it to keep the outside scene from being completely blown out but was trying to capture the strength and grace of the architecture as well as include the vista it presents. My eye switches between the picture within the picture and the the inside elements. Do you see this as a strength or a weakeness?

I can't really pick one thing to focus on in this, there's just not anything happening. I think I'd be more interested in seeing a shot from the opposite direction, near the art looking at the building.

too many things are competing for my attention: (1) the large structure in the foreground is pointing me to the bottom of the photo, (2) the window on the right distracts from the window on the left, and (3) then there is that interesting sturcture in the background.

what do you want the viewer to focus on?

Good job with the exposure! I also find it a little distracting. I keep wanting to focus on the objects on the outside but I'm having a little trouble. I see what you're aiming for but there is just too much competition.

I like the switching - more than the others you sposted, it conveys the spaceship-like feel og the museum, like we've just landed and we're looking out the window.

You did a good job on the exposure, the photo itself however doesn't have any impact on me. Must be because it doesn't have any real focus in my view.

If this were my shot, I would have cloned out those spindly little trees and the artwork outside the window. I would have gotten rid of the triangular flare on the right and the other spindly little tree that appears over there. Then you'd only see the stripe of green from the grass, and the two shades of blue from the water and the sky -- that would be enough information for the story.

Just my 1-cents worth of opinion.
