    My first wedding

Hey everyone. Tomorrow I shoot my first wedding. I am so excited and I could greatly use tips from you seasoned pros. I have literally buried myself in every magazine and book that I own that has even the slightest thing to do with weddings. I have scoped out the chapel and surrounding areas, and have some ideas of the shots I want to get. I know I have to have a game plan and I have to think this out so it all comes out good. I don't want to nuke it (over think it) either. I am using a Nikon D5000 with an SB-400 flash. I am going out to get a tripod today. I just wanted to check in with the experts first, you guys haven't let me down yet....holla at ya boy!!!!

If you are THE PHOTOGRAPHER, I would suggest not shooting any weddings without a back up for each piece of equipment that you will be using. If you get there and something malfunctions or you drop and break one of your pieces of equipment, they will not be very sympathetic when they don't get any pictures. You can't do the wedding over, you only have one chance to get your pictures, Jeff

    agreed.

Also - the tripod will likely be pretty useless there, as there isn't much potential for longer exposures in such a scene.

Any other advise would be too late at this point, like - getting an umbrella diffuser or a gary fong light sphere, and getting wireless triggers for your bounce flash.

Thanks for all the help you guy....I know it was kinda late I know. Everything went very well took some great indoor shots. The wedding was very small so it gave me a lot of freedom to move around. Got some great lessons learned. I will put up some pictures later. Thanks again.

    Re: My first wedding

Choreographed first dances at weddings are great; they provide entertainment for the guests, and is a more memorable way to share that first dance together as husband and wife. I've attended over 200 weddings, and those couples that had choreographed first dances definitely stand out in my mind.

    Re: My first wedding

My brother has a wedding in 2 months, and I, as a brother, am obliged to dance at his wedding in order to respect him. For a long time I went to dance school for adults I came across wedding dance classes on this site https://www.quicksteps.com.au/wedding-dance-lessons/ I went there a month ago but already I dance

I totally agree that if you are considering to have a perfect party you need to have whether dancers or to dance like a pro!
