    First Wedding...

This last Saturday, I shot my first wedding for one of my friends. It was a beautiful day for a wedding up in Door County, but as usual, things never go according to plan. The groom and his entire crew were late to getting to where they were going to get dressed, the bride and her party were almost late to the ceremony, and formals took forever because the bride wanted every possible combination of family that was there.

But that's part of the fun, right?

These are only the first few images I've gotten through. I still have two cards that I need to download to my laptop for processing.

If this small sample is anything to go by, I think you did a very good job! Formal and informal, using features like the anchor, and shots (like the football one) which are quite unique.

    Cheers

    Re: First Wedding...

Thanks, everyone. I was a little worried when I started looking at the images because, due to time constraints and the fact that EVERYONE was running late, some important shots had hands or feet clipped, and if I wasn't shooting RAW, I wouldn't have been able to fix the exposures on some of the shots.

The biggest lesson I'm taking away from this is "Don't Shoot Manual" when I'm in a hurry. I made too many mistakes with exposure while trying to keep a very tight schedule.
