Saturday morning outing

I meant to get up before sunrise but THAT didn't work so I did the next best thing---scurried out as I heard the children start to stir (ay-o.k.ed it with Larry the night before) and got away to a place called Lynch park. a wonderful park on the edge of the water. They have a central rose garden where there's a wedding almost every weekend in the summer....and I also stopped by my local nursery before it opened. they carry some of the most creative floral arrangements and freshest flowers I have ever seen (so much so we dropped $100 on Saturday my first stint gardening---funny thing is once you start---it's like cameras---you are always saying--oh just one more)

so enough blabbing here's some shots--- the best part...the camera never left manual setting... and I was much happier with the end result ( who would have thunk it) and I had minor post processing (cropping and one clone on a boat mast)

I really like the sun through the tree, the statue silhouette, and the rose closeup. But I was disappointed in that there weren't any nipples. :-O

OK, I'll let it slide this time! ;-)

Boy, I'm seeing more and more excellent images posted here than ever before, and these are no exception. I love the 2 silhouette shots, especially the one of the sun breaking through the tree. Good work.

How enjoyable those early hours can be. You used your time well. I really like the sun through the tree shot and the humor in the cat shot. The brown pots are nice too, but if this were on Critique I'd say I was bothered by the white blob . Beautiful work.

no! it was ythe dude in tights... or maybe wishful thinking...that's what every birder needs lycra for those hard to position shots

actually it's the relationship to the bird and the handler that reminds me of your passion for the the feathered ones

that one was one of my favorites...as well. I love statues especially any depicting any type of motion. It's always fascinating to me when a sculptor can render and object that's standing still and fil it with so much life and motion.

Next time you go there, see if you can set up a shot by rubbing a little catnip on the dog. Be careful where you rub it, though...

Some of your photos are out of the world.Like Sun reflecting through the tree.And that of first one about a sculpture.---the pics looks good in fact ! hope that more good post here !

The starburst tree, the cat/dog, and the silhouette all stand out for me. Nice work!
I bet if you came earlier or in the evening and got some stars behind the birder statue it would make a really nice shot!
