    Pretty hawaiian flower

This is one of the flowers you can find everywhere in Hawaii, including behind women's ears!

And here is a really close look at some kind of palm!

And I experimented with special effects to make magical flowers...

Janie, Wonderfull pics! I can't belive there havent been more replies!
I went to Kauai for 2 weeks Feb 2004 with my brother. I took my cannon ae1-p and a whole bunch of 400 print film. I got very few keepers.
What I learned and suprised me the most was that I just didn't know how to have fun! But fortunatly I was able to learn as I went along.
    7 things that I recall as hihlights of my trip are, from least to best;
1; Luau. Met some intersting people, good food, good time.
2:Sunset cruise on a catamaran. Same as above on the ocean.
3: body surfing. Got some sand in uncmfotable places, but had a great time doing it.
4: Exploring. Did some hiking and climbing. Great time with my Bro.
5:ATV ride in Jurassic Park territory. Many scenes for many movies were shot on Kauai.
6:Scuba diving. Went on a beginer dive. The guides were animated hosts. Genuine blast.
7: The climate and overall attitudeof the people that live there. Very comfy and laaaiiiid back.
As far as learnig to have fun, looks like I'm going to Disney world in December!
Beautifull pics, hope youre time was relaxing between flights,

    Re: Pretty hawaiian flower

We were so busy with my grandfather we didn't have time to do too much else - I just brought my camera with me everywhere and shot when I could! I only got into the ocean twice while I was there this time. There is a really great place with good food at a place called Buzz's and it's toward the north western part of the island - where they film LOST! While I was there, they had the whole cast there for some type of celebration, but I didn't get to see any of them I'm going back in late september and staying for several weeks,

Here is a whole directory of photos that I took while there: http://bizfx.com/windowseat/ I took a lot of photos from the plane so you'll find some cool aerial shots of the island, as well as several neat cloud photos! I have about 200 photos, just haven't gotten the chance to edit them all yet!

As far as not many replies - it's been a tad slow here lately so i've been going to another forum! So it's fine.

It may seem odd to you, but that palm I think is the best image of all.
I know it's not pretty, not bright, no flowers.
    I like the pattern

I liked the pattern on that too, but wished the other side had come out sharper - believe it or not i shot that at the gardens of the Honolulu airport!
