A new species

Adult broudwinged hawk ! You took this image about the 5rd week of september, because that's when they migrate

This is a 2-3 year old bald eagle

Cropped and blurry, but should be an easy ID, right?

Yeah.... pretty easy ID... Roseate spoonbill ;)

We're still clearing my Dad's house, and he died nearly a year ago, but I know there's the Oxford book of birds in there.
I'll go check when I get back from Spain (work) and Belgium (pleasure) before we go over to Germany for the DTM season final race at Hockenheim.

I am fairly sure of the ID, but european thrush type birds I have never seen, so I only have web images or books to go by ;)

NOT YET....That would be the COMMON grackle I do believe;) The first image has a tail nearly at the boat tailed grackle size.... but fall short

I was taking pictures at a soccer game last week and this guy flew over. I was set for action on the field and didn't change anything so not the best exposure. But like I said I just wanted to contribute to your great thread.

Actually, you posted the first BROWN pelicans (nive images of them might I add). I do believe I posted AMERICAN WHITE pelicans a while back(but I am not totally sure)

SHHHHH, but I am also amazed at how well I am doing at ID's too ;)

Your goose BTW appears to be a CACKLING GOOSE, which was split off from the generic canada goose ;) It has a shortish neck, small head and bill ;) I am not a goose expert(nor do I want to be) , so I could be wrong? There are 13 subspecies of "canada goose" I do believe. One is Richardson's and 2 more smaller races with that make up " Cackling Goose"..... I think
