We're still clearing my Dad's house, and he died nearly a year ago, but I know there's the Oxford book of birds in there.
I'll go check when I get back from Spain (work) and Belgium (pleasure) before we go over to Germany for the DTM season final race at Hockenheim.
Sounds good!
I am fairly sure of the ID, but european thrush type birds I have never seen, so I only have web images or books to go by ;)

Ok here is a bird picture. It isn't great and it isn't a challenge. I just wanted to participate in the biggest and most successful post that I can remember on PR. Great thread Paul. Take a bow. I lot of great pictures and fantastic participation.
I was taking pictures at a soccer game last week and this guy flew over. I was set for action on the field and didn't change anything so not the best exposure. But like I said I just wanted to contribute to your great thread.
Re: More from Yesterday...
Actually, you posted the first BROWN pelicans (nive images of them might I add). I do believe I posted AMERICAN WHITE pelicans a while back(but I am not totally sure)

Larry, welcome abourd! You are now one of the people who made this thread what it is!!!!!
Sure I started it( after LIZ suggested it ), but it took EVERYONE'S images to make a thread ;)
I am honestly amazed at the amount of images posted
SHHHHH, but I am also amazed at how well I am doing at ID's too ;)
Your goose BTW appears to be a CACKLING GOOSE, which was split off from the generic canada goose ;) It has a shortish neck, small head and bill ;) I am not a goose expert(nor do I want to be) , so I could be wrong? There are 13 subspecies of "canada goose" I do believe. One is Richardson's and 2 more smaller races with that make up " Cackling Goose"..... I think :)
Re: Post Your Bird Images Here!!!!!!!
This is a house finch. plenty have been posted early on, but your is no less important Mike!
