On My Way Home From Work

I made the effort to get off the freeway, turn around and go back to a rest area. I think it was worth it.

    Interesting

I profiled my CRT and the LCD on my laptop tonight with the ColorVision Monitor Spyder and Optical. This image was set up on the laptop, just to see how it would do. Not so great. It's definitely dark and contrasty. The laptop display is probably better than it was before I profiled it. But it's still not good enough for serious work.

Just thought you guys might like to know. Maybe tomorrow I'll set up the same image on the office machine and we'll see how that goes.

Definitely worth it! Thanks for sharing this and also for the info on the Spyder. I still need to get my printer/monitor calibration down - what a PITA.

NIce catch John. I don't mind the contrasty image since that's the way things are when you are looking into a sceen like this. I know its not the Critique forum but I like the way it looks with the top 1/3 of the picture covered so you have just the dark trees with the light underneath.

    Question Where?

So where was this off of? The 280, The 680, or The 580?
    Great photo John.

Looks great to me, nice contrast, great colors and saturation, and you framed it perfectly. Worthy of hanging on anyones wall.

    Cheers.

Holy _____!!!! Please, for the love of Mike, sell this, publish it, something- this is the kind of shot I dream of taking but never see. I cannot find anything about this to criticize. It's perfect.
