    My First DSLR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wasn't supposed to get it till 3pm, but It got here at 10am! It's a Canon EOS D30. Yeah that's right, I am a Canonite! I started out on Canon EOS cameras and I never could really shake the love I had for them, even when I was shooting with my maxxum 7.

Well anyway I am all a twitter over this!!!! I know it's not the latest and the greatest, but for a poor fellow like me it's the best there is. I am amazed at the condition of this camera. I can't find a mark on it. A tripod mount has never touched it, and there is not any sign of use, ever! It was owned by a wedding videographer that used it for candid stills, but it looks like it rode the bag more than not.

I will post some pics from it soon.

I'm in love with a camera!

    GREAT NEWS!!!!

I for one can feel your secondhand camera pain, but who needs the latest greatest(keep telling ourselves that over and over)

Just remember that when the D30 came out people went nuts over it just like they are doing for the 1Ds mkII right now And besides you have a 1.6x sized sensor over my 1.3x sized 1D ;)

What kind of coin did you drop anyway( you can PM me if you'd rather not broudcast it)

and as Ray has already mentioned...... GET THAT CLAN O'CANON LOGO and add ALMO O'CANON to your sig

Nice body....no, no, the camera body! I have a 30D and a 5D, I see absolutely no reason to upgrade right now. Both have enough resolution for what I need, and both are fine cameras.
    Congratulations on your "new" body.

    Lol...

A spammer bumped it up a few days ago. I've come a long way since the D30. I now shoot a 30D and a few L lenses. I still love the D30, and the D60 as my first two DSLRs. Wonderful cameras, both.
