No, I only owned two P&S digitals, the Fuji 1300 years ago, and a Sony F717. Hated the Fuji, gave it to my mom, sold the 717 in favor fo a DSLR.

I ordered the G5. Couldn't find a G3, or I would have gotten that instead. The ETTL hot shoe, the same battery as the 10D and the CF cards it uses make it a smaller investment than other cameras as far as accessories. ANd it can be a legitimate backup for my on-site portrait stuff if the 10D were to crap out. It could even be used for other things with the 550ex, So, good buy overall. Money is coming in steadily, so hopefully there is a Mark II in my future, at which point the 10D will be the backup and the G5 will just be there to carry around with me.

I wish I could have gotten a G3 though, couldn't find one new anywhere...
