Capture a Stranger

Hi all .. I was going through some old folders doing some housekeeping and I came across this one which I'd forgotten. I took this in a hospital near Kathmandu in Nepal a few years ago now. She had leprosy. Fortunately, she had sought help early enough to deal with it before it became disfiguring. I like to think she lives a normal life now - maybe married with children of her own.

Leprosy? Wow. I don't know why I am surprised. I guess living here in the U.S. many of these sicknesses are taken for granted.. Good capture and your description brings it to life.

I gave this stranger a good scratching after I took his picture too. I found out his name is Miles and he is 3. He was featured in a local magazine promoting local dog parks recently

I have found that 95% of folks like to have their picture taken and 4% don't care and 1% will likely shoot you.

Most of the ones I get are completely unaware which is how I prefer it. Something about people changes when they know.
