    Capture a Stranger

A friend of mine and member here at PR once ask me to Capture a Stranger. This is one that I came up with. I would like to pass the challange along. So show me your favorite picture of a stranger that you have. Or go out and take one. Sebastian I would love to see your personal favorite.

This woman was in deep thought as she walked the marina.

    Re: Capture a Stranger

I have a really hard time asking someone if I can take their photo. I love street photography, but don't really like the possibility of the interaction, therefore I stick with landscapes. Nice shots.

    Re: Capture a Stranger

    Thanks Greg,
    LOL I know...

It takes a real man to dress that way on a Sunday morning walk.
,as I later found out. This man is a lifetime resident in my neighborhood, very respected in the community. And Loved by all.
He is a riot. I am glad I met these two.He shared fantastic life experience for well over 20 minutes.I kept asking questions.hehehe.
A totally fascinating man to talk to.*** Like how the S.F. bay area 50 years ago was all fruit orchards 30 miles in every direction...And now...concrete jungle. This man has stories -> tack sharp detail!

Roxy knew what I was doing as I climbed up the bleachers for this vantage point from 8 feet in the air.
She posed... What a gorgeous animal. Back to Ruben... Still laughing...

    Re: Capture a Stranger

Here are a couple of gals I met at a street fair. I kind of lied to them to get their picture. I told them I was freelancing for the news paper. I do do freelance work but I wasn't that day. Does this count.

This one is my favorite, her name is Jade, she is a carney. She was working a ride so I didn't get a chance to talk to her.

Great thread Unfortunately, I'm always worried about pissing someone off so I don't shoot pics of strangers. This is one of the few I have taken...

I think the same thing. Although, that wouldn't have been my choice of words Aaron lol.

Here's one I took after my kids Sport's Day 2006.
Deep in thought, this guy was totally unaware that I took his photograph.
This was taken with my 50mm, so, it kinda gives you some idea of how close I was to him lol

    Re: Capture a Stranger

This one needs a bit of explaining-covered-up guys are "Rockers",well known around town, who do not wish to be identified having a good time at a "religious" live music show...
(my family band are sufis)-hence the headgear.....

    Love this thread,great shots,all, Greg McCary-that is wonderful !

    Whole bunch of them...
New Years' Eve,raining hard, the TV crew had tech. problems,so the crowd waited,in the rain nearly 3 hours for the live music show.
I got up on stage to move the harmonium out of harms way..and got a standing ovation,so started snapping away .
