This guy looked familiar but I just couldn't place him so I guess he qualifies as a stranger.

Greg I just wanted to commend you on this wonderfully successful thread. It's been going for nearly a year now and there doesn't seem to be an end in site. It's aways a a treat to log into it and see what else has been posted. Congratulations on a wonderful idea for a thread.

Thanks OT. I appreciate the kind words. I like to look through them as well from time to time and Capturing Strangers is great practice.

This one needs a bit of explaining-covered-up guys are "Rockers",well known around town, who do not wish to be identified having a good time at a "religious" live music show...
(my family band are sufis)-hence the headgear.....

    Re: Capture a Stranger

I took a trip to DC last week, while at the WW2 memorial my friend with me, Greg saw this gentleman walked up to him and asked if he was a WW2 vet, he said yes, Greg then asked if he could shake his hand, the gentleman replied yes, I also did the same. The gentleman was using a walker and had two others with him helping him get around. When I asked to take his photo, he said yes, I saw a change in him and the people helping him, his two helpers backed out of the photo and I could him stand a little taller! These guys are almost all gone. Take time to thank them.
