I love this one, Chris! Love the look on his face, the rider in the background and the sand flying up behind his wheels. Why film, though? I know there are photographers who like shooting with film. Is that why you used it? Was it for effect or just because you wanted to use your F5 for a backup?

I shoot B&W film because I dislike monochrome conversions. There is no film character in the image and I miss that character. They come across as sterile, which is something digital has yet to overcome...

Ok and I'm a bit of a geek, I love the sound of Nikon film gear....

Very nice Chris. Nothing like the sound of a Nikon motor drive riping off a series of images. Oh for the good old days.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

I don't know if it was you or not, but someone got a good shot of me that I really liked at that race, it was black and white.

It was posted on their flicker site.

i agree, it's tough to replicate that film look, however alien skin 2 does a very good job with my stuff I process through it.

Great shot though! I love that b&w film!
