    Train Station View

While any photo with bright colors can't be all bad, I think there is something wrong with this photo. I'm not sure what. Maybe I should stretch it so all the major lines are straight and perpendicular to each other. Is that it? suggestions?

I played a bit with this photo in Fireworks (hope you don't mind). You have a LOT of various angles in this shot. It would be difficult to square off this photo due to the not-exactly 90 degree lines comprising the shot.

Since I had it open already, I darkened the blue sky a bit, but I would say that you've got a busy, but very nice shot here! Where is it taken? I get the impression that I'm in Tokyo.

I like the splash of color and fantasy in the midst of all that colorless bad architecture. I think you've recorded the scene well and I think what bothers me about the photo is what would bother me if I were standing there. It's a busy, poorly designed part of the world that I want to be away from - the message also conveyed by the sign.
You seem to have captured the harried spirit of the place and that makes for a successful shot. Some shots should bother us.

A helpful comment indeed. I like the place in spite of the confusion, because it is exciting and challenging, like being inside a video game. My wife hates it for almost the same reason, because it is intensely stressful. The photo comes closer to presenting the stressful vision. I wished it conveyed more excitement.

The darker sky is better. Tokyo is a good guess, but actually it was taken in Kyoto, just last week. The Kyoto location is a little ironic, in that Kyoto is also home to ancient Zen temples and beautiful gardens. So serenity or stress is right there, take your choice!

Well not to be rude or anything, the picture shows an advertising sign which is the main subject of the picture, and if u feel that it dosent look good in ur eyes then its not qualitifyed

I love this, the color on the gray structures is very nice.

I don't know how you could crop this, but maybe try getting rid of the purple one.

    Nice shot!

I like it just the way it is. Busy, but meaningfully busy because of the varied lines. Love the rich colors on both signs (though I wish you could have got the whole left sign in as well).

Hey, I used to live in Hayward when I was a kid...that's right next door to Fremont!

Hmmm. Possibly the background contract could be strengthened to better compete with sign. But the city is gray, and that is part of the point.

I wish I could get a wider lens on a reasonably compact digital camera. The Nikon 8400 is better than most, but could be better.

I you haven't been back to Fremont/Hayward in a while, you would have trouble recognizing it. What was the world's largest cauliflower farms is now all houses. Still, the weather is fantastic.

I feel the contrasts between the simple colorful signs against the heap of chaos and confusion works. I also like the shadows that are laying over the scene. No need to crop or straighten anything out. This image works.
