    Just hanging out...

This was a botched photo (I think I had forgot to pop up my flash), which I managed to save in PSP. I think it actually ends up working really well like this in black and white. I'm actually amazed at how much more you can do with saving a digital photo than a scanned print. If I had shot that picture on film, it would have been garbage.

Anyway, does the composure work? Is the DOF to shallow? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Personally I like it, but the BG is somewhat cluttered with distractions. The composition is good, however, for me it kinda ruins a B&W image when you just come out and say the only reason it is so is because of a bad exposure. In the future I would omit that part, and just ask if the image is ok. Otherwise post the original and ask what you could have done different.

Nice PS save. I like it, minus the background. Some competeting elements near the far back, and take away from the dog who is a magnificent white. Nice DOF and good capture,

Works for me.Looks like this dog is well loved or he would not be lying so happy like this. Good attempt to shoot the unusual rather than the standard dog/human pic.
    Keep at it
