Youth Pheasant Hunting Day (warning: not suitable for all viewers)

A beautiful autumn day greeted the young hunters for the annual Youth Day in north/central Ohio yesterday.

I brought along my 3 zooms (16-35mm, 24-105mm, and 70-200mm) with my 50D and followed the hunters and guides for the hunt. No strobe unfortunately (not enough room) as it was incredibly bright sunlight and I could have used fill light in virtually every shot.

Not sure if I will post the actual hunt (don't think they actually contribute to the story here).

of course I have a soft spot for dogs and these hunting dogs were something else...

great attendance, great weather, great food, great times ...

At the end of the day, these hunters are still kids.

But to be a kid-at-heart is everyone's right.
