I had a chance to photograph this silver pheasant in a nature park yesterday. It hanged out in the feeder areas among all the smaller birds. I think it's likely that it was a captive bird sometime ago. The photographs were taken within an hour after sunrise and it was a cloudy morning. All natural light. For somebody with my skill level, it was a challenge to have details in both the dark and light feathers at the same time.
Not sure if it was me or something else, it suddenly hopped a bit and did this. Just to show it can move its tail:
Apparently, would have been better if I were able to respond a bit faster with a faster shutter speed.
Thank you for looking !
