Yes I got my new toy

and yes I've been taking pictures with it. Not as much as I'd like. Here is a few that I've taken so far. I'm slowly getting the hang of it. but there sure are a lot more bottons than my S45.

Too bad it's a Canon Thingy, but hey, it takes great pictures! ;-)

I really like the sunset shots. Awesome capture.

And seriously, congratulations on the new camera!

    Sunset!

Now that's a worthy sunset photo! I usually don't bother taking sunset photos or even really looking at them anymore. They're usually pretty cliched. But that second one is RULER! It's got so much going on. It's JUICY!

Congratulations on the new camera and lenses, Brian. You're gonna be psyched and I know your photography is going to improve. Too bad you're leaving NM. I just can't see New England having quite the same quality of photo backdrops. But then, I'm a born and bred Westerner. So I may be a bit biased.

    Combat Zone?

I used to like shooting in Boston's Combat Zone. But I betcha it doesn't have the flavor it used to. The coast of Maine is nice. And I like the New England Cemetaries. Provincetown in December is interesting. But I love the West.

    thanks man

I'm gonna miss the west that's for sure. But I'll be back every chance I get. In fact I'll be back in Denver 2 weeks after I start my new job. hopefully I can get down to the Springs to ride with Kristain. The plan is to hit that uber DH you did a few years back.

BUT, I'm excited to capture what the NE has to offer. The history and landscape should keep me busy for a while.

    Thanks Nat

I'm trying to capture as many as I can before I leave. Our second bosque fire this week is putting lots of red in the sky.

My journy should be fun. I'm heading up to central colorado to ride and probibly stop at the Great Sand dunes national park. The drive up the central rockies to Denver. Head east to Chicago through nebraska. Stop off in Ohio to see the fame this balst to Boston.

I hope to have quite the travel log when I get there.
