Worst thing anyone has said to you...

Well we got a flat tire (nail) and took the car in this morning admittedly I was looking rough... uncombed hair/no mak-eup, ratty shirt and jeans and some flip flops. when I go to pay $15 for the tire repair I hand the guy a $50 and he hands me back $5 I say to him "I gave you a fifty" without as much as a second glance he says...

"Sorry you don't look the part of someone who would carry a fifty"

Feel free to share the WORST thing anyone has said to you so that I can feel better...o.k. so maybe I shouldn't be so self centered but it's that kind of a day...

the good news is Larry called the guy who said it and told him off (nicely)----

That's great customer service!! Was it some schmo employee or was it a small shop where he was the owner? I can't imagine he runs a very successful business with that kind of attitude.

    Nat,

Sorry to hear. Did you at least get your money back?

People don't say many bad things to me, but a guy that didn't like me ran me off the expressway, jumped on my hood and put his fist through my windshield.

    Unhappy Feel better Nat.....

I'm sorry this happened to you, but glad you're hubby set him straight! It wasn't a good start to your day.

Well, I've had a not-so-great of a day yesterday & today. One of my friends was fired from her job yesterday after 9 years. When she started as administrator of a school for disturbed children, it was going down the tubes. She brought it to the point where they now get over a million dollars a year from the government to run the school. The reputation is now impeccable. And her boss said "it's over." The reason is politcal. Her boss feels pressured as some CEO wants someone else for the position.

"You're fired" wasn't said to me, but I feel it very deeply. And I'm a BIG GROUCH today!

    Love ya Nat........

Think of it this way, now you have a great story to tell.

I'm usually pretty clean cut, but I recently went thru a long hair stage. One of my coworkers saw me from behind and asked another coworker "Who's the new tall girl".
I won't live that one down for awhile!

Hmmm... I actually had a couple of brothers arguing over how old they thought I was. I was 30 at the time, and the one brother thought I was closer to 40! Now THAT's depressing!

Sorry to hear Nat, hope your day gets better!

Yikes - that's not a good way to start the day!

I've got one like Kristin's - a few years ago, a co-worker asked me about some paperwork, which just happened to be filled out on my 30th birthday. I said "yeah, I remember that day pretty well!". She said "Oh, was that the day you turned 40?". She hasn't heard the end of that one, it's fun because she blushes everytime I bring it up! But not so funny that day...

    I'd have to say

being called an "F**ing bitch" is pretty high on my list of worst things people have ever said to me. I don't know why I let something a stranger yells at me get under my skin, but for some reason that hurts my feelings. I need thicker skin.

I hope you gave the repair guy a look that could kill, at the very least.

    I've got a good one

So I'm about 5 months prego with #2, right to the point where I can't button my regular pants, but not so obviously pregnant yet, and we go to Target to get some new pants. I'm not buying anything more than $20 because if I wear it while I'm prego, I associate it with being prego, and will never wear it again.

So I find a great pair on the clearance rack, and am like "great, only $15" Thing is, the small pair was the only one with a price on them. So I take the EXACT pair of pants, in size medium, to the cashier, along with the small, and say "these are the exact same, (they were) how come they didn't ring up on clearance?" She says she has to ring them up as they scan, I say they are exactly the same, she says they are not ringing up like that, so I pay whatever it was they came up as.

While out on this adventure, I was wearing a pair of running pants, the kind with the stripe down the side, and a t-shirt. I'm crabby and huge and uncomfortable, and don't really want to be out at all. And I have just reached the point where I can't button my pants, which any woman will tell you, is enough to cause an emotional breakdown. But seeing as my dh hated the running pants, I went to get a pair of bibs.

On my way out, someone says that I looked like the kind of person who would switch the tags to get the clearance price. HELLO! HUGE PREGNANT LADY!! I got into the car, and cried all the way home, cried all night, cried the next day (homones maybe?).

And then, when I was farther along, and my shirt would slide right up over the watermelon I called my stomach, I had to listen to "don't you have a shirt that fits you?" Well, no, not really. In case you haven't noticed, I'm hugely pregnant you moron!

    Feel better?

    Was due on Dec. 27th

So that Thanksgiving, while we are all having a good time, my dad whips out his digital camera, and takes some pics. Everyone one of me is a profile. And at that point can't even button the buttons on the sides of the bibs. Luckily, by that point, I didn't care who saw my fat belly and wore a crop top just about every day

Let me see if I can dig one up....
