    Tried a night shot

Taken without a tripod, resting against a lamp post. I'm amazed you can get results with digital, that with film you'd end up with a dark image.

    Wow Norman, Wow!!

This is truly splendid. It is so sharp, lively and luminous!

I could hardly shot at night without a tripod (unless I can secure the camera on a steady object). This is a remarkable work.

    regards

    Seb

Great work! Digital cameras have come a long way from several years ago - they never used to be able to shoot in low light without getting a lot of noise. Looks good.

For the record, film would have don just as well, with maybe a bit of color correction.

Just gotta stand up for the old tech.

Nice shot, very crisp for what pretty much was handheld. I was supposed to be in Vegas this weekend, but things didn't work out the way I wanted them to. Enjoy it.

How to tell the most experienced shooter in a group? They have the least amount of toys on them.

I agree, but the downside to the old tech, is rushing back to the photo lab full of eager anticipation for at least 2 or 3 chromes that would be outstanding & having your hopes crashed on the rocks of lousy metering. This shot on the other hand, the first time I took it was too bright, this was the 2 try & I got a keeper & I knew it right away. Gotta love Digital?

Sorry to hear about the aborted trip, I was there in Feb. Must be one of the best places to walk around with a camera 24/7 in the world.
