Axle, nice shots - you seem to have this thing about old abandoned buildings - keep it up, I think this type of documentation of old structures is quite useful. One question, do you have any HDR software, even CS5, because, if you do, then some of these indoor shots would definitely benefit from an HDR treatmen of say +2EV, 0 and -2EV. In an image like #6, HDR might even let you see what is through the windows, rather than it being blown out. Just a thought/suggestion.

    Cheers,

Thanks! Yes i do use HDR software, Photomatix actually, however I don't really use HDR that often, and for most interior shots I like shooting at f/22 which often results in 30" exposure times making it hard to do HDR shots :P

Yes, that would make it hard to do HDR, but you can always think about increasing the ISO to cut down the time, assuming that doesn't give you too much noise. I am an "experiment" junky when it comes to digital photography and will go back and shoot the same scenic thing, if I can, a number of times to see what works and what doesn't work - but that's just me - I'm retired and have a little extra time now and them to indulge in experimentation. Have you seen any of Brain Matish's work? He does a lot of what he calls "UrbEx/Grunge" photography, a lot of which is done in the interior of buildings. His blog/portfolio can be seen here, if you haven't looked at his work before.

I was lucky enough to attend a webinar he gave last September where he demonstrated the use of HDR on the interior of old buildings. He used Photomatix 4.0 and a couple of onONe plugins to get his effects.
