    Some boring NYC marathon shots

I spent some time in the park shooting the front runners but I am not happy with the results. I haven't posted here in a long time so I figured I would post a few if anyone was interested.

    Not so boring!

Thanks for posting them, I didn't end up volunteering this year - it was good to see them!
Great shot of the wheelchair competitor.
My boyfriend and I went to the Aztec show at the Guggenheim today, and cheered on some of the back -of-the-packers around 5:30 before we headed home.

There are going to be a lot of limping people tomorrow, and I wish I were one of them!

I am 20 years old and am already saying ... i remember when i could do that.

Regardless, nice images. You captured the strength in all the competitors.

Re: Some boring NYC marathon shots

Thanks for the comments. I think I was mostly dissapointed because I shot everything on First Avenue last year and it was nice and bright. I live on CPW now so I shot everything in the park and found it very hard to find a place I could set up with enough light and a clear view of the runners. I, by the way, thought the runners looked amazing for 23 miles into the race where I was set up. I would have been in an ambulance about 20 miles previous to this spot in the race. :>
