This shot is very nice! I think it shows you in your element.
I'd like to see more separation between you and the trees, for definition of that great face

I want to do something a little nicer, and of course, I don't think anyone I know will do as good a job as me.
Now, I've noticed folks here are starting a lot of fun post-your-version-of-this-theme threads, so I thought I would jump on the bandwagon and start this one. Self-portaits? Post 'em here!
Of couse, I have to post the first one (and probably the worst one this thread will see). This was taken a couple years ago. An experiment. I just held the camera out and shot. 100 T-Max, EOS 650, 28-70. I know it's bad, but don't laugh, you're next!

One small reason why I just joined the local seacoast photo club. pretty women like to take pictures Obviously, I'm married and very happily at that. However, being a computer geek I NEVER have eye candy around me at work. Maybe the photo club will fill the void?

I also joined the club to learn more and have another source of inspiration.

    AMEN.
My hubby used to have chin length hair when we first met, and he has made the transition to bald, and it is HOT. I noticed those shiny domes everywhere i go now.
The balder and shinier the better.
    MWAH!

Okay I may look like I am at death's doorstep in this, but I have an excuse. I had just finshed an about 8 mile hike through the woods, and not a very easy one at that. Got a few good pictures that day too. Not too shabby for a fat guy!

Adina, you remind me of a young Juliette Binoche. She's one of my favorite actors.

7 or 8? Well, I figured I'd wait for Rick to post seven or eight, then I'd post five or six more. Didn't want to jump right in there and look like I was enamoured with myself.

If you want more, I've got more! ;-)

Guess I need to shoot some more though. I don't want to show you guys the same old thing over and over. Now to decide...underwear, or no underwear. :-O

the red hair is so cute

(sorry couldn't resist saying that since you made a referance to it a few posts ago
    )

i agree with the villena that it says "you looking at me" or you "wanna piece of me"

I think it's a great shot considering the circumstances...I would look like HADES if I had done an 8 mile hike...in fact I'd be on the floor having rolled there and have to send a search party to recover my knees/several other body parts which would have DROPPED off of me at mile 2...LOL

I try to get out there and get around. It's very easy for me to get lazy. I really gotta push myself sometimes. It's like I always say though, "these pounds arn't just going to get up and walk away!"

I was thinking about bleaching my hair again! Would that be cute too?

BTW I am pretty sure I dropped a few parts that day, but I was way to tired to go back and look.

glad you restarted this idea because here's a lot of new names recently and if you hadn't posted a self pic I might have still been thinking you looked like an 'ole hippy surfer with a long dark beard or something lol...glad I was wrong ;)

Man there are so many beautiful women here on PR! I am begining to think I am out of my league... ;)

I really like that second photo nata.

Pictures like that put me into what my high school students call "dad mode". I teach at a non-denominational private school that requires a very basic uniform, shorts, polo shirts, etc. I see my kids out in their civies quite a bit at the mall or at the movies and I always yell "put some clothes on." Must have something to do with having a cute, 8 year old blonde who is going on 21.

    Yeesch!!

And it's killing me! I'm away from my computer/image editing software (not that my countenance needs any editing... LOL) and I CAN'T UPLOAD ANY OF MY CLASSICS!!

    Waaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Speed, in honor of Egostis, the God of Self Portraitism I hereby make you my Official Self Portrait Representative. For every shot of yourself you post, I hereby allow you to post an additional one in honor of me, who due to circumstances beyond my control am unable to post any of myself.

Just make sure you leave enough room for the girls to keep posting ones of themselves! Yee-ow!
