Thanks for keeping me humble OT and MJS.

Here's another shot. Yes it's still a self portrait, not many are willing to take my picture.

    Re: Self Portrait Thread...

Step 1: take picture without me
Step 2: take same frame, with me
    Step 3: Crop accordingly
Step 4: Layer 2 images, set self to 70% opacity
Step 5: Convert Image without me to sepia tone
Step 6: Copy paste 4 images side by side, flipping horizontally every other image
Step 7: Shrink to Square Format
Step 8: Convert image to polar coordinates twice, once mapping backwards, once normally.
Step 9: Layer 2 polar coordinate images
Step 10: enlarge the back image so my heads stick out on the sides (removes the white border bringing the image to square format.) and rotate to taste.

Gorgeous SP's OT. Always a pleasure to see you

I must get another one done. Hopefully, for the next one I will remember that I have my camera on 1600 and turn it down to 400 :mad2:

Well John you got the ole' bear part right. Thanks for the vote of confidence I am always very reluctant to turn the camera on myself.

    Re: Self Portrait Thread...

    alright, i'll play.

I've been playing with processing portraits and B/W conversion, and no better guinea pig than myself, since i'd be my harshest critic. here's a byproduct. Lighting is on-camera flash bounced off of folded typing papter, i set the ISO low and the shutter speed fast to keep the overhead lamp to fill light. I think I like 400mm for portraits, the compression is really nice. Oh yeah, photoshop does a good job at taking those last few years off too.

Okay, another fairly uncreative one from me...with Mr. Matthew as well.
Um, this was light from the window, with the cluttered living room as the backdrop...I thought that was fitting...

Nice one Emily. Can't think of a more appropriate self portrait. Creativity can be greatly over rated. It the subject that matters in photo like this.

Dang speedy. How far back did you have go to dig this one up? I was still using my little Olympus when I started this thread.

Great shot! You're lookin' great these days...
