    Self Portrait Thread...

There was a time when I was known on this site for my Self Portraits. For some reason I prefer not to go into I had gotten out of the spirit of taking them. However, with a new camera and new lighting equipment, I have begun to once again feel the urge to turn my lens around on myself.

Here is my lateset effort. It is highly PS'd, but that is only because I was looking for a specific look.

Please share some of your SP's here.

Why not. Shot this morning while setting lighting for dance portraits of my daughter. I was just getting ready to re-aim the hairlight. Nikon D200, 70mm 1/25 -f/8 on sticks with a self timer.

Nope, thems just me natural lips. However, I really like the way they came out in this, so I think I am gonna get me some dark lipstick and eye makeup for the next attempt.

Remotes are fun, I got the one for my D70s (rare little buggers to find).

anywho, from the Muskoka Regional Center...look closely and you'll see.

Long hair for the win, I think, I'm donating mine soon though, it drives me insane.

Dunno if I did cross the line and trespass, they do curve inward at drastic angles dont they?

Good to see an enthusiast! I mean, All the girls I know love my hair. But all the guys I know hate it.

WTF is up with this world?

Anyways, it doesnt get in my face that much. I trim the hair infront of it pretty frequently. And by me trim, I mean my mom.

But yeah, I think this is a really great pic of me.

    Wow thanks !
I didn't think it was great by any means.
I did fiddle about a bit in Lightroom because the LZ5 colour balance is a little iffy.

    Re: Self Portrait Thread...

I've been taking care of my sick daughter and wife the last few days. I really like the shot Gary, I'd keep it the way it is, maybe sub out the cam for the .44 automag Clint used in one flick. By the way, when it was kept clean, the .44 automag was a sweet shooter.

Adina, you have gorgeous eyes, and the shots are great too. My eyes only look that big when shot through the right part of my tri-focals. Did you go to the seminar yet? How was it?

You guys are right, about time for Speed and Rick to enter the fray.

And Rick is right...the second has an intense look to it.

off topic. When I first got my moderator powers, Rick called me Princess of the Off Topic. I like Princess of the OT better.
