    This one I can post

Shot with the new D70. The Kitten named Pumpkin. f it isn't sleeping, its going psycho chasing lizards, harassing the dog, jumping on my head, etc. Shot shutter priority, 1/60, ISO 400. SB800, handheld high right with diffuser dome and SC28. I'm beginning to really like this thing. I also just found out that I can shoot direct to the hard drive on the laptop through the Nikon Capture software. I'm really going to like this thing. Portraits in the studio will be really cool being able to preview in almost real time. The PC is a 3 gig machine with a full gig of ram. Too bad there isn't a firewire port on the D70. Oh well, I can live with it.

Cute cat, and nice shot! I think you could probably fill the frame with the cat for a better composition. But it's a great shot. Congradulations on the new camera.

The sorry part is that I don't see any color, just shades of gray and black and white. I always shoot for the exposure and hope the camera does the right thing as far as the color. I guess that is why I am always preaching set your white balance in digital and video before you shoot. Thanks for the comments.

MJS.. gee that makes me sad. A photographer who can't see color. Well, she is a beautiful color and looks so sweet. zoom in on her next time. It's a nice shot.

Thanks for the comment. I shot a little loose to see how the cat would stand out against the funky pattern of the chair. As far as the color blind bit, no sense dwelling on what wasn't meant to be. Although my students are waiting for my wife and daughter to be mad at me since they pick out my clothes every day, "sure, that looks great honey/Daddy", I'll go in looking like bozo th clown.

no fun for you...but that's kinda cool. you see things for textures and patterns when the rest of us miss the rest of the pic by getting lost in colors...you have an unfair advantage
