    Let it ride!

OK, I'm dating myself here - again.

Mine needs new tires, but it's warm and it's time to get on it, and start back to riding!

    And hey! That's me...

Not to hijack this thread.... But, next to my kids and the woman of my dreams, my bikes and cameras are my passion. Good to see that others here have a thing for bikes too....
    Cheers,

    Balance

Bikes keep me sane. Especially with the current workload. A lot of the guys in the Consumer Review office ride. Now that it stays lightr. we're getting back to a weekly, evening ride. This photo was taken yesterday. We get to ride in the redwoods!

Photo was taken with my current tester camera - Samsung Digimax V700.

Go for it OT! If I can do it, so can you. It's tied with photography as my favorite thing.

    Adina Sweet Bike!

Ok, so not to hijack the thread as well... but I've got this gargantuan Mongoose sitting in my garage... its waaaay too heavy for me. I think its 22 speeds and has massive shocks and a really wicked uncomfortable seat.
I saw it one day at a bike shop and loved it... and rode it like a dozen times.
I need something lighter..... any suggestions? Like $500 and under?

Go to MTBR.com, look under "Beginner" discussions. You will get a ton of good advice, usually My advice, whatever you do don't buy from a Dept Store i.e. (Walmart, Sportmart, Big 5, etc etc etc) Buy from an actual Bike Shop, you may end up spending a little more money but it will be worth it in the long run. Good luck.
