    Happy Veteran's Day

A big THANK YOU to all of those who are serving, or who have served. In celebration of Veteran's Day, I put together a little gallery of photos that I restored a few years ago. These were all slides that my Dad took when he was serving in the U.S. Navy in the early 60's. Feel free to share your photos honoring the men and women who have served your country.

    Re: Happy Veteran's Day

    Mike,

Thanks for the thread! And for posting these great photos of your dad and the others serving with him.

Thanks too for the opportunity to say a word of thanks to all veterans and those still serving our wonderful country.

Here is my tribute. I think I post this every patriotic holiday. It's my favorite.

    Re: Happy Veteran's Day

Thanks Liz. I was in the US Army for four years a long time ago. Wow it sparks some wild memories even thinking about it, especially my time in Germany with the different European cultures, long hours, and relationships you build up with others being so far from home.

Here's a few scanned pix from that era. The idiot errr person in the field there is me, I think I was 20 yo ,
