    Green

In California we have to take advantage of it while it lasts. This was taken last Friday, in Marin, with my EOS 10D. The rider is WTB pro XC racer, Mark Weir. I think that most good mtb photos are a collaboration. Mark climbed this very steep section for me over and over. Most riders would have pooped out after 5 or 6 efforts.

    What lens did you use?

    Hey John,

What lens did you use? it looks like a fisheye with the curved horizon? I'm looking for a good wideangle and 28mm is unfortunately not wideangle on the 10D.

    20mm

I used the Canon 20mm f/2.8 for this. I don't think that curve is from the lens, though. The hill in the background curves down to the left.

    Poor guy...

doesn't he know about STIL? (Steeper than it looks) You're evil for making him climb over and over again when the end result won't even convey the effort he was putting in! The green is quite nice.

    20mm huh?

You know I just sold that lens. Maybe it was me, but I just couldn't get any sharp photos from that lens. All the pictures just came out looking soft, even at f11-f16. I could figure out why so I sold it. My friend has the 17-40L and I've used it a few times. I think i'm going to go with that. By, the way, nice picture.
