    Fly-ins aren't just about airplanes!

The people you see and meet are just as interesting as the airplanes. Here's a lady and her Pug trying to beat the heat last weekend at a nearby fly-in! The little guy was obviously enjoying the ride and view as he became agitated when she stopped by to say hello after I took her photo.

    Birdstrike!

Pilot's also get to display their sense of humor at these events. Here a poor little bird pays the price for not getting out of the way!

You know, I'm not one who gets together with "groups", but this looks like a blast. Honestly, flying is one of those things that I would LOVE to learn. I truly envy (not in the bad, biblical sense ) those who have these winged toys and know how to play with them.

The bird shot is quite entertaining. Made me smile.

You know a birdstrike can be a serious in flight incident, but this one cracks me up!

I suppose the pilot doesn't want anyone to touch the aircraft until the FCC investigation board reviews his birdstrike damage and determines the airworthiness of his aircraft. :-P
