A few more smokies pics :)

    Okay, this is...

A deer along the Cades Cove Motor Loop.
Mingo Falls, located on the Cherokee reservation.
Indian Creek Falls, located in the Deep Creek area.
Stream along the Cosby nature trail.

I've also posted some others on the critique board

    Cool umm...nice positive comment

I think you could have easiyl said what you said modena in a more positive way, but that's just my opinion. Anyways, to the photos. The qaulity does seem a little grainy. What camera are you using? Lense? it looks like film. If so, maybe you should try a different film speed. I shoot digital so don't ask me about that. ;) The last one is my favorite. I like how you used the green plants and tree in the forground. Well done. Modena...remember that crispness and qaulltiy of an image isn't always everything Good shots. 6 days till my smokies trip!!!!!WAHOOOO!!! I'll be sure to upload lots of mine...bet people gonna be tired of the somky mountains before we're done CaraRose;) Good job.

Your photos have brought back fond memories of the years I spent living near the smokies (western NC). Yeah, I live in Colorado which is extremely nice but no place is more beautiful than the Smokies and surrounding forests. Thanks!

I work with a Minolta Maxxum 7000 and Maxxum 3xi. I have several different lenses, mostly Minolta although I also have one Sigma zoom I use fairly regularly. I had 200 speed film (and really regretted not bringing faster-- on some hikes the canopy was so dense that hand-held shots were almost impossible, even with my aperture set to 1.7). The grain is from my scanner, which is about 5 or 6 years old at this point and is ready to be kicked out the nearest window.

Have you been to the Smokies before? This was my first time there... I was just blown away by how beautiful it was Michael's definately right about how beautiful it is.

Cool I've been there tons of times

I've been there too many times to count. But now I'm heading with me new Digital Rebel. Never really took a whole lot of pictures up there since I haven't been really inot photography too long. I can't wait. The smokies in my opinion is one of the most beautiful places in America. I live in Tennesse so I guess I might be a little biased;) Anyway, I love the smokies and the Cherokee National Forest surrounding it. It's just gorgeous up there.
