    Dublin Zoo

I've never been a big fan of zoos so i haven't been to one in about fifteen years, but on a nice spring day, we decided to go for a walk and having heard lots of good things of Dublin zoo, we decided to try it out. I have to say, it was GREAT!!! and all this because i had my beloved D70 with my nikor 70-300 lens. It was so much fun taking pictures of all these animals, it's the first time 'i ve really had a chance to play around with that lens and after all the bad reviews i'd read about it, well i was very pleasantly surprised.
In all fairness, i could have stayed there all day just snapping away, but the tired legs of a pregnant woman, and sheer despair at hearing me say'' just one more" for the hundredth time won over and we left happy and impressed by a lot of what this zoo has to offer (even though a few pens were a bit small for my liking).
Anyway, here is a little selection of what i did that day.

PS: A bit of useless trivia: Did you know that the MGM lion that roars before their films was born in Dublin Zoo?

    thanks jared,

the meerkats were great fun to photograph as they were having so much fun (playing, digging...) in their pen and then would stop stand up and stare in the distance for 5 seconds.
