    Dawson's Cabin trip.

Hello time again to see some pictures from me.

These were shot about a month ago on a weekend trip me and some friends took to a rustic cabin in southern Pennsylvania. It was called "Dawsons Cabin" for the guy who built it years ago.

It had a wood burning stove and a well-water sink. That's it.

Here's a 30-45 minute picture of it at night. Taken with the Nikon Fm2N and Sigma 24mm 2.8 lens on Kodak Gold 100.

The rest of 'em are with the Nikon Coolpix 885.

    Thanks for lookin

    Here's some of the people.

First is my best friend and work partner Errin chopping his first cord of wood (yes, we are city folk!)

Second is Andrea playing in the wod stove.

Third is yours truly playing Caesar with some ... moss?... on my head.

    All with the Coolpix 885.

    Some group shots.

First is of Andrea, Caron and her dog Eddie. From ground level.

Second is of the group on an old truck we found. I'll post the old truck next.

I don't know why I have that look on my face! (?)

    An old truck.

We found while attempting to hike. I took the opportunity to photograph it while we were there. Reminds me of Gerry's Widen's "dissembly line" that I liked so much.

    Some black and whites.

I converted these in the camera so there has been no adjustment.

Looking at them makes me feel like we were "Little House on the Prairy" or something.

First is a funny one of Caron "caught in the headlights." Second of Errin and Tasha gives me the "Little House" feel

Last one. Just because you thought I said...

"Dawson's Creek" here's a lame little creek near the cabin thereby, YES it would be "Dawson's Creek." Yeah.

Second is another of the cabin at night, one hour with someone walking to the bathroom with a flishlight. Kinda cool

    Thanks always for lookin

    What's a keeshond?

    Is that a dog?

    I know nothing sometimes

I think he's a shephard. She took him to herding class. He rounds us up whenever we're all hiking together

I love(d) Katie Holmes. She was the cutestgirl EVER. Then she got all growed up

    Thanks for the compliments, Nat!

    Love the cabin shots

Especially the one with the flashlight.

    Looks like a good time.

I also watched Dawson's Creek, when it first came on, and then when it ended. Everytime I see Dawson I think of Oompa Loompas.

    Oompa Loompas?

    Heh?

Nat - Joey was so much cuter than Jen. I mean, come on. She was the girl next door personified. Jen knew Joey was prettier so she had a complex about being "the OTHER girl on Dawson's Creek" ;)

But, I always had a thing for brunettes anyway.

Yeah FM2n!! So excited to see some pics from it. These are great - I love the "alien abduction"-style glow of the cabin and I especially like the one with the flashlight trail.

Nice shots, sounds like a great place to spend some time (although my wife's idea of roughing it is a hotel with no HBO). I especially like the shots of Andrea and the star trails - is that flare from the lights in the cabin reflecting off the lens? Were you using a lens hood?

FM2n's are great cameras. I had an FE that I sold a year ago and I'm starting to miss it - I see an FM2n in my future...

First Dawson's Creek I ever saw was the one when they were in the library playing truth or dare. Someone called Dawson an Oompa Loompa, and then there was a big emotional confession about how that was one of his big insecurities.

I thought Joey was cuter too. Also have a thing for brunettes

    you're confused...

You were speaking of cute---there's a big difference between CUTE and Beautiful....

I SAID Jen was cute....Joey was beautiful...too bad she's getting married soon...

An interesting topic change through the posts. like broken telephone. These are all great shots. I like the picture of the stream and the truck. Hmm.. stream. The BC Ministry of Forests doesn't like creek. we aren't allowed to call anything a creek. only streams. just an FYI if it ever comes up in trivia pursuit We have a Dawson Creek just north of here. My friend just went on a road trip to check the place out and said it was a hole.. guess it's not the inspiration for the show!
