    Corvettes Car Club

    Hey ya'll!

Here are a few shots from a Corvette Car Club that I recently took. The group members were a lot of fun. There were a total of about 30 cars/couples. Mostly newer models. The one 'classic' was the black beauty- see photo. I also learned that the blue stripe one was a 1996 Grand Sport- only 1,000 made. Original cost was around $50k. ??

I shot them in the morning, it took about an hour to get all the individual shots. That night at their meeting I set up a table display. I sold 3 of my landscape prints, and took many oders on 8x10's & 5x7's on the individual car shots. Almost every couple bought enlargements. I think that there were only 2 couples that did not buy anything from me. Overall, it was a great experience, and a profitable day. I received a ton of compliments.

Perhaps they'll be back someday and will look me up.

This was my first 'car' photo client. I think that it turned out very well, even though it was raining later in the day/evening.

Great shots! And I'm sure you had a lot of fun. I love cars, and this has actually reminded me that I need to find some of the car clubs here... Do you have any shots of the newer corvettes? I'm thinking 2000 or newer

I used to drive a Mercedes and belonged to their car club. Every year I would go to the Concours d'Elegance at Pebble Beach up in Monterey and do the photography for the Mercedes car club. I'll have to dig out the pictures and post some.

That Mercedes was the least reliable car I've ever owned (wouldn't you know I'd get a lemon!) But, I certainly loved being part of the Mercedes car club, we traveled all over the place!

Love these shots of the Corvettes -- thanks for sharing them with us.

My father's friend was invited out to the Concours e'Elegance last year with this car that belonged to Dutch Schultz and he came in 3rd place:

And was invited back to show another car he has (He collects Lincolns from the '40s). There are certainly some beautiful cars at that show!

    Great Job Kathy!

Beautiful cars......Wow! And I know little about the models, but they're beauties!

However, I'd like to comment on the fine job you did with the shots. Beautiful. I just got that lens BTW, and haven't used it yet. These photos encouraged me before I even got started! Thanks for posting them.
