Brian,

On Rangefinders forum I've seen very few M6 images that I could say "blew me away." It seems to me other rangefinders, including the Canonet QL17, are capable of taking just as great pictures. Of course, much of that depends on the photographer too and the kind of film one uses for the conditions. I think you will do just fine with the Bessa, and I agree you can get a lot more for a lot less and still take great photos. I'm glad you got the Bessa, and again, I really can't wait to see your first images! Just take a look at what it can do: http://www.rangefinderforum.com/phot...hp?photo=34004

I looked at the G2 as well, but I felt it was too much like my F100, just in another form.
It has autofocus and a 2-3 fps motordrive and all that, but I wanted to really slow things down so I went with the Bessa R2A. I would have LOVED to have been able to buy a Leica M6 TTL, but I wouldn't have been able to afford even the body for the money I got my Bessa and three lenes for.
Did you see the post I made a couple of weeks ago when I first got it?

It's a great set up!
