The biggest weekend of my sports career

    Well,

If anyone is interested, I will be not posting as regularily in the next six days as I'll be out of town visiting the girlfriend and trying out for one of my possible college's volleyball team. I think I have a pretty good chance, as I'm one of the few power/middle who applied for the ID camp, but it's still going to be tough. I'm confident in my abilties, yet I can't go in there cocky. So, I will be off and on within those next six days. So hopefully all goes well here, and I'll make sure to post some messages while I'm there!

    Wish me luck,

    Jared

    Rebekah and Mark,

Thank you very much. This would definately be a HUGE highlight right now for me if I could secure a position.

don't sweat it, if you want it that much then you'll get it. Obviously i have no doubt you have the ability but when you're that keen, the coaches see it and know it's just as important if not more to have players who WANT to play and do well, than to have players who play well but don't give a monkeys about being there and who drag the team down with their lousy attitude.

    Godd luck anyway ;)

shoot no need to try out...just market yourself as a power/middle player/photographer...
picture it spiking the ball while taking a shot simultaneously. what more could they want honestly....they should pay you and give you a full scholarship...just tell 'em we said so!

well wishes and prayers headed your way

Liz has the key just RELAX. Enjoy the experience and do your best. I went to several school with my daughter her senior year in high school to look around and generally some kind of tryout or pickup game with the ball players that were already there. She was always a little nervous at first, but once she was on the court she was able to relax and do what she did best hussle and shot the 3's. She ended up with a full ride at a small college taht fit her style and temperment. Good luck i'm sure you will impress those that need to be.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??
