    Back to film.

Well, school started a couple of weeks ago, and as such, so did my formal education in photography. I am taking Photo I at the local state college, and thursday was our first day of shooting.

For class I acquired a Canon EOS ELAN 7, and 22 rolls of Ilford HP5. I must admit I am pretty stoked. I look forward to sharing images from my class with you guys. We will be doing all the fun darkroom stuff in the coming weeks. Our first development classes will be on next thursday, and the following tuesday. I will check back after I have some negs...

What lens are you going to use? Why not go fully manual, Canon AE-1, show them young kids what it's all about.lol

I have two fully manual SLRs. A Pentax and an old Oly OMG, but I wanted to use my L glass. That is why I got the Canon body. Plus I have been wantig a film EOS for few years. I picked it up on photography-on-the.net for $40. Not bad.

I do plan to run a few rolls of film through the Oly too, but I really love those L lenses!

Thanks Greg. Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot the lens. I am using my 24-105L. If we get some outdoors or freestyle assignments I would like to use my 17-40L.

    Welcome back to the darkside.

Let me know when you discover Medium Format.

I'm planning on getting a Large Format Camera this year.
