2 Questions, feel free to answer either...

    Hello!

Any chance of the new guy getting an assist on some information?

Question 1 - Anyone else in Arizona? I'm down in the Southeast side of the state in Sierra Vista. It's about an hour southeast of Tucson. At about 5000 feet elevation, yes, we actually get some snow down here for the winter. Desert snow... gotta love it!

Question 2 ---- I have a friend who is deploying to Iraq for a few months. When I rent his studio, he let's me use his Nikon D1X (I love that camera...). He is now offering to sell it too me since he's deploying and would like to see the camera used instead of just sitting around. The camera is in excellant condition, especially for the number of images shot through it. (It's not unusual for us to hit 800 shots in a photoshoot) What would be a fair price for it? (Body only)

    Thanks much!

    Hey Army

Can't help you with Arizona, though it seems to me like someone up here lives in Tucson? I may be wrong.

What I can suggest for helping to find used camera prices is to go to a site called keh.com and either browse the listings for the D1 or go to "sell my gear" and type in what you've got. They'll tell you how much they would pay for it to give you a starting point.

That's an instantaneous response. I'm sure somebody else will chime in with a good number though.

    Good luck!

    My two cents...

Check Ebay for current prices on D1X bodies..
Ebay seems to be a good indicator of such things.
Not in Arizona, I am next door in Utah.

Maybe we could set up a "4 corners shoot"........ Get everyone from Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico there. That could prove to be interesting!
