    MSA Media Credential

Hi, This is a question to any and all UK based photographers.

I am looking to get an MSA Media Credential number. I have been photographing F1 at Silverstone for over a year now but the rules are being made tighter.

Can anyone tell me how to get an MSA number?

Any help or a point in the right direction would be great.

    Thanks,
    Sheldon

    Re: MSA Media Credential

    Have you had anything published?
Do you shoot any meetings other than F1?

I've been shooting F1 for a couple of years now.
But without publication I think it's very difficult, if not impossible ti get accredited.
Unless you have the support of a motorsport or motoring publication, or agency.

    Or an F1 team
I've been lucky enough to get in the Jordan garage during testing.

    Re: MSA Media Credential

I'm wanting to get registered too. I took photos for the BookaTrack Caterham Graduate Championship last year and have permission from them to do it this year too. Those photos have been published by the Caterham Graduates on their website and material and also Caterham Cars have used my photographs.

So, what's my chances and how would I go about getting accreditation?

    Thanks.

    Re: MSA Media Credential

It seems to be covered pretty well here: http://www.ten-tenths.com/forum/arch...p/t-16137.html

We have two chances, fat & slim. Without backing from the media.
I suppose that's why they are media passes

I hope that Berliner Zeitung use a couple of my photos from Barcelona last week.
That's one step on the ladder.

Also I need to find out if our local paper is interested ... the more publications the better.

    Re: MSA Media Credential

    Thanks for the reply.

As well as Accreditation, I've heard the word Credentials around too. Can you define what they both mean?
