I'd go one too, but I'd make sure you straighten it, as the bottom horizon is offset.

You know, those hills in the bottom wrap around like a cove. I'm going to take that shot again seeing is how the spot is right down the street from wher I live, it's hard for me to tell with the angles of the cloud and thouse hills if the pic is level. I thought about just that before I posted is.

You might be able to see what I'm talking about comaring shot 1 to 3.

    Re: Sunset

I didn't have the feeling that #1 was tilted, proably because the shoreline/hills slant opposite the direction of the clouds. Sometimes when you have lines that actually are at a slant in the scene and there are no strong verticals to indicate it's level I will 'level' it to make the shot feel more comfortable even though it isn't as it exists in the world. I know there are purists who don't care for that....

    Re: Sunset

Looking at the clouds, you have the feeling that the horizon is straight. But then, looking at the shoreline and it seems to be tilted (mostly in #3).... In this situation, there is really nothing to be done. For that reason, I will go with #2 and call that a cloudscape at sunset. Very nice colors by the way!

    Cheers,

    Steph.

Great colors on these! It usually get pretty bored with sunsets without a foreground to hold my attention... but these are definitely nice.

    Great work!

3, best balance of tones and I like the balance of clouds vs. negative space. 1 is the most boring of them all, 2 being the second best, 3 being my favorite.

I like # 3 but it could have use a little more of the ground in my opinion.

    Re: Sunset

I like #1 best. But I think the sun is too low in all three. I would've like to see more of the foreground.
