    Speaking of Hawaii...

After seeing Noslocg's pic from Hawaii, I had the urge to go through the pics I took there last Labor Day when we went over for my step-daughter's wedding. This one was taken from the lanai of our hotel room on the 30th floor. These two doves hung around with us most of the time they were there... if we left the door open, they would stroll on it.

I cropped out a lot of the extraneous stuff that was surrounding them, but left in the repeating balcony railings going down the side of the hotel. I also played a bit with the saturation to get the water just a touch bluer.

Nice, the doves would seem to go with the edding them, eh? The blur is a litle too noticeable around the bird on the left.

This photo is excellent except for being too soft around the birds.

But I'll bet it would look wonderful on an album cover. Digitally add their names in the upper right corner and then buy one of those photo albums where you can slip a picture into a spot on the cover. I think this would be wonderful in that setting.
