I shot this pic of my cat a few days ago with my d70, with the 18-70mm kit lens. Plese feel free to comment about it.

Shawn, this is a great looking cat ( in a ruff way) and a nice shot. good focus on the eyes, nice lighting and exposure is good as well. Very nice. One thing though, your file size is too big and keeping it to 640 at the largest dimension would help see it all on the screen without scrolling.

Quite well done. I like how the EYES are sharp -- this is an absolute must when shooting shots like this. The background might be little distracting. I also wish that the nose, collar, etc was also as sharp as the eyes. Nice tonal qualities, but Im betting that some folks might not like that tones (it might be too dark for some people).

This photo is a little scary btw... I wouldnt want to be a mouse and look at this, at least without a tear gas cannister.
