    Self portrait....comments

I was toying around with the idea of shaving half of my body and doing a self portrait. I am a pretty hairy guy so it would be rather obvious if I do that. Anyway I did it, well almost did it. I shaved half of my head, my face, and my chest, and one arm. I spent 30 or so minutes trying different shots and hated them all. Except for this one.

It's chilling, quite morbid. looks like a man on a cold slab. The open eyes are scary. The hlf shaved appearance adds something, though i'm not sure what. Maybe half preped for dissection!
The lighting is perfect for this shot.
    I don't like it at all, I'm shivering !

    Hey Almo,

I like this one. With your other self portraits, I couldn't quite tell what it was that you were trying to get across. This one obviously took some time to prepare.

And the capture came off well too! Nice disconnected blank stare. The grainy, low key choices really work well with the black negative space. That could be a body, or that could be a mountain range. A very nice abstract.

    Cheers,
