    Posed portrait (kinda) with story...

I got my camera about a month ago. It was used and I had no knowledge of it's settings, but was eager to use it. I went to North Georgia (helen,Ga.) And while walking around saw a bubble machine on top of a building that was blowing a billion bubbles onto the sidewalk below. So i tried to do a portrait. The camera was set to a sepia(?) mode. The town is supposed to replicate an alpine village. Unfortunately you can't see too many of the bubbles. I also cropped out some cars in the background after realizing the setting to try to save it. What do you guys think?

    Hi,
The couple seem a bit stern. Are they facing the strong sunlight which makes them uncomfortable? The serpia colour suits well with the cowboy and gives a nostalgic feeling.

The sun wasn't strong at all. The woman's eyes are like that when she smiles. They don't like being in pictures, I guess.

I like the shot but it seems to me there are a few things you could do to make it a bit better. First off, like you said, get rid of that bus back there. Also it seems to me like it would make more sense if there was more of a connection between the two people (ie holding hands or his arm around her). Nice shot regardless =)

Look at the guy's right pocket........A cowboy with a cellphone instead of a six-shooter. Not a critique, but a thought?....I personally dislike Helen, Ga, especially the glass shop for personal reasons. I really like the photo. I like the details.......The Marlboro man cowboy cutout on the left and a real cowboy to the right.....Cool.

Nice shot, and sepia works here. A little over-'posed' for me, but I think it's alright, certainly has some memory behind it.
