The colors are neat but I get somewhat distracted by the bright dot in the sky. Is it a plane, an ufo or some flare?? BTW, you balanced it very well. It looks perfectly sharp to me.

    Re: Indiana Sunset

Strangely enough, I find this shot to be a bit soft. The branches should appear sharper than this. It might be due to the JPG conversion though. If not, this is nothing that PS cannot cope with using the Unsharp mask with a high threshold value (in order no to put grain in the beautiful sky colors).

You can clone out the Moon if you find it too distracting. Personally I do not mind.

However, I find the large black area to be distracting. I would suggest you to crop some of it.

Further, I would say this shot is a bit underexposed... by about 1/2 - 2/3 stop or so....

Finally, the horizon is not totally straight. Actually, it is straight from the left side up to the middle of the frame, and then goes up. This can be a bit distracting. Maybe you should consider titling it a little bit...

Besides, this is a good composition and was a very good photographic opportunity. The result is very pleasing, though a bit dark. I think that (1) cropping, (2) levels/curves in PS to bring the colors in the sky, (3) cloning the Moon and (4) tilting the horizon (maybe?) will transform this shot into something trully remarkable. Please give it a try!

Ooopsy... I just read what I wrote and I hope you do not mind me being so ... well... direct! But I really think that this shot is a keeper. It just requires a bit of PS magic...

    Cheers,

    Steph.

What great colours! Beyond that, I think that there is too much black, I really like shots where there is a big sky (for some reason) and less ground, especially when it is just neutral like black.

    Re: Indiana Sunset

Hey thanks alot for all the tips,im glad ur straight forward because i extremely straightfoward towards peopes pictures anywayz, uuummm i dont know if its under exposed or not, like i dont know it was dark when i took this and its super super hard to hold a camera free hand and do an exposure like i did, thats most likely why it seems not as sharp but thanks again yes i do feel the ground is a little to much black and is distracting, but this black ground makes the sky look way brighter i think
im good with ps but i hate editing my pictures i feel like its cheating
    thanks again
