    Re: The Forgotten Ones

I like the composition, colors, foreground, subject and sky. My one and only nit pic is that it looks like it has a slight lean to the left. Great shot, Jeff

    Re: The Forgotten Ones

interesting scene, I like the combination of the colorful wall vs a colorful landscape and interesting clouds

but, while the wall in interesting enough, somehow I get the feeling the wall is on the way and does not allow to see the trees in the back

    Re: The Forgotten Ones

Greg I think you should isolate the wall and push the vibrance a lot higher, there are so many great colours there, but this looks a little flat. Then possibly inverse the selection and slightly desaturate the background. Dont mess with the clouds, they are cool...

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

    Re: The Forgotten Ones

Looks like a very slight tilt to the left. The wall looks very interesting, but does seem to be overpowered by how colourful the rest of the scene is. The clouds are excellent!

Color, texture, composition and subject are all really good. The branches of the tree detract some from a good clean composition.

Great wall Greg. I would forget about the landscape and only take two or three shots of the wall and stitch them in panorama mode.

    Re: The Forgotten Ones

Thanks all for the suggestions. I have seen fixed the lean. I looked at it till my eyeballs were crossed. I tried desaturating the background and went back and forth before deciding on this one. A panorama is an interesting idea.

    Re: The Forgotten Ones

Very Greg McCary lol. I think that's a good thing. I would've known it's one of yours without looking at the uploader. I like the composition and almost all things about this photo. the only thing that bugs me is how it 'blends' with the rest. I think a bit of separation might have helped this. maybe a DOF seperation or even a saturation separation where the rest of the scene is slightly less saturated and where the wall stands up a bit more.

Edit: are you guys having problems loading these forums? it's been terrible lately. so hard for me to get on.

    Re: The Forgotten Ones

Thanks Leels. I have a couple of other versions, angles. I have one where the sun was hitting the dugout and it was brighter than here but the background was darker. I will look back and see why I didn't use that version. No problems with uploading, just a wild washing machine, out of balance, slamming into my router.:blush2:
    All is good now.
